Why Buy Visitor Medical Insurance?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Health

Sometimes it seems like you can’t go anywhere without being told you need insurance to protect you. Risk is everywhere and it’s up to the insurance companies not to help you avoid risk, but to help you recover once you’ve lost out to the odds. It’s enough to make you want to give up and take your chances. After all, you can’t afford to buy every insurance you’re told you need. The premiums seem ridiculous given the actual odds of something bad happening.

It is up to you to decide, but there are reasons to consider investing in insurance, especially in visitor medical insurance which is designed to pay for medical treatment when you’re in a foreign country.

Visitor insurance may seem far-fetched. No one plans to get sick or injured when on vacation, studying abroad, or attending an international work conference. You have to weigh the odds of you being one of those who will need medical care against the costs of the policy. Can you afford the out of pocket costs to get a broken bone set or hospital time if you are more seriously injured?

Pleasure trips have risks associated with recreational sports and other activities. You could just as easily break your neck skiing in Switzerland as in Colorado. Longer stays increase your chances of an accident or illness, so don’t think being a student or worker means you have no risk. Medical insurance may sound like a luxury at first, but it really should be a no brainer.

Biofeedback and the Quiet Mind

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Health

It is one of the most exciting challenges of contemporary times, as well as one of the most daunting. Learning to control one’s thoughts has been something that’s interested scientists, and spiritual teachers and seekers, for centuries. Advances in medicine in the 20th and 21st centuries suggest that the way people perceive automatic function might be inaccurate. Work in biofeedback has suggested that a great deal of the body’s physical responses can in fact be controlled.

While this may be news to western science and medicine, it is something that eastern traditions have known for millennia. One of the great challenges of all meditation is to cut out the noise inside the mind, to get the interior world to be quiet , so that real thought can come through. This is one the essential things about any kind of inner healing, where a new journey begins when one focuses on the internal rather than exteriors.

The practice of yoga has likewise come to the same conclusions, or rather, it begins with the notion of quieting the mind. Although biofeedback has done wonders for helping people to cope with stress and a myriad of other health issues, the techniques for reaching a state of balance come from very old traditions, and it’s worth it to explore both worlds simultaneously.

Outdoor solar showers are also becoming popular and it can be a great feeling to rinse off in one after an extended dip in your hot tub or pool. I’m sore and need to soak in my hot tub

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Health, Home & Garden

I woke up so stiff this morning after all the fall yard clean up we did yesterday. Cutting back the perennials, pruning the trees and raking up the leaves, I am not getting any younger that is for sure. Glad to have gotten done what I did and it all looks very nice again, how ever I am paying for it now. After a cup of coffee and a little breakfast it will be time to get in to the hottubs. I am so glad I had one put in earlier this year. It has been such a pleasure.

After getting the hot tub I began seeing all kinds of information on how beneficial hydrotherapy is. Soaking in hot water has all kinds of health benefits. These are people that have experienced relief from chronic head aches. Some people say it has relieved back pain they have had for years. People suffering from arthritic conditions state their joints do not hurt as much and they experience more mobility after soaking in a hot tub.

Apparently the combination of the hot water and the massaging action of the jets create a massage like experience. The heat helps dilate the blood vessels and increases circulation thus decreasing swelling and aiding in the elimination of toxins from the body. The messaging effects of the jets release tension in muscles and relaxes them, thus creating balance with in the body. The combined benefits create a body that is more relaxed, less stressed and reduced in pain. Many people state that soaking in their hot tubs in the evening is so relaxing that they fall asleep faster, stay asleep longer and sleep better after soaking in their hot tub. I have seen reports stating people with insomnia have found relief and experience better sleeping after soaking in their hot tub before retiring.
