Cloudshare and Identity
One of the more fascinating constructs of the times is the network. The idea of the network is one that’s growing more and more theoretically complex, as the actual chain of connections that make up the web becomes more complex. If there is a real space somewhere in the metaphorical and virtual realms, it’s certainly not a tangible that can be touched. In the age where identity is a performance , there may be some useful connections to be made.
The multiple ways subjects and people can link together now suggest a very complicated series of relationships. These are always in flux, and always subject to new definitions as new relationships form. Perhaps, then, the real, if there is a real, is found in the performance of these relationships. It may well be that the social networking sites have become a way of re-creating relationships in the world, or it may be that there really is no significant difference.
In a larger structure, such as an organization, this does become more tangible. A team connected through a cloudshare platform is constructing a sense of identity for themselves that is as authentic as any team in any organization. The technologies make some forms of communication and idea-sharing easier, and faster, and the result is as successful, or sometimes even more so, than a team working together in a physical space.
